Wow, so its been a while. I am such a slacker! I think I left off at Jason's Birthday party. It was a huge success! There were around 35 people there and we had a great time. I still have a hard time believing that my baby boy is a year old. Time flies. He is in Georgia for the week and is very missed by Galen and I! We needed the break to work on our house though. It's a construction zone around here. The master bedroom needed the most work when we bought the trailer so we decided to put it off until we got settled in and have been staying in the middle bedroom. Over a year later, we are finally getting ready to move in to the master bed/bath! Jason has so many toys that you can hardly walk in his room and my school work has taken over the living room so it will be nice to have a larger room for Jason and an "office" for myself! This month has been an exciting month at school. I have learned how to give an injection, insert a catheter, put on sterile gloves, and open a sterile field. We also started clinicals! I think that I am really going to enjoy my clinical location for this semester and learn a lot of things that I did not expect to learn. I have started to make friends with some people outside of my "clique" and I have to say, I have a pretty awesome class. Right now, I am lacking in motivation to study and really need to get back into my good habits. I don't know what is going on with that. Wow, I just realized how much I am saying "I", but hey, it's MY blog, right?! Ha. I got a phone call from my Pops yesterday saying that he has been accepted into a clinical trial! What a blessing from God! He has been weighing heavy on my mind for the past week or so, and honestly I was starting to lose faith that he would be accepted. Getting that phone call was the best thing that has happened to me in awhile! He sounded as if he had just won the lottery! I can only imagine how him and my Nuna were feeling. They had been waiting for that call for so long. My day only got better after finding out that John Mayer will be coming to Tuscaloosa on April 26th! Violet and I are ordering our tickets on Friday at 10:00 AM. This girl is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!
